Rule of Law & Good Governance

PTD Kenya conducts civic education forums to empower communities with knowledge of the Constitution of Kenya (2010), public participation rights, and access to justice. These initiatives target youth and women who are often excluded from decision-making processes.

Through ward and sub-county dialogues, PTD facilitates citizen engagement in county planning, budgeting, and monitoring of development projects. Notably, the organization has been instrumental in advising and sensitizing communities on viable development projects such as the Londokwe Mega Dam and Kitise Community Water Project during public participation processes.

Recognizing that governance transformation starts with empowered young leaders, PTD Kenya integrates governance education into its Youth Mentorship Programs. These sessions train youth on civic responsibility, leadership ethics, and community organizing.

Through its flagship initiative “Tupigane na Ufisadi” (Let’s Fight Corruption), PTD Kenya promotes integrity, transparency, and citizen watchdog efforts at the grassroots level, especially in the management of public resources.

PTD works with the County Government of Makueni, civil society, and local institutions to improve policy implementation, service delivery, and institutional governance. These efforts build stronger, more accountable systems that respond to community needs.
